What is DRS?

The Dutch Racing Series

The Dutch Racing Series (DRS) offers a unique opportunity for karting enthusiasts of all levels to participate in competitive races without the need to own a kart. With a fleet of 64 identical karts, equipped with identical 390cc Honda engines, tyres and gear ratios, DRS provides a fair competition where driver skills are key.

The first season of the DRS took place at nine different karting tracks in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, including well-known circuits such as Kartcenter Emsbüren (Germany), Raceway Venray (largest oval in Europe, Limburg) and Karting Genk (Belgium, home track of Max Verstappen). These tracks, normally accessible only to drivers with their own karts, have been opened to all DRS participants. Thanks to a mobile fleet of karts, transported in six shiping containers, the DRS can organise races on some of the biggest competition karts tracks the Benelux has to offer

The races are divided into different classes based on weight and experience, keeping the competition exciting until the last moment and giving drivers the chance to develop in a serious competition environment. The use of professional race control, timekeeping, marshals, live streams and even a safety kart makes the DRS a professionally organised karting championship. And the best thing? You do NOT need a license from any governing body!

For participants, this means they can still enjoy the thrill and excitement of high-level racing without major investment in their own kart. After the race, the experience can be crowned with a podium ceremony, complete with champagne and podium caps. The DRS thus offers a unique opportunity to experience karting as a sport in an accessible and fair way.

After a very succesful first season, we are stepping on the gas and are organising an even bigger season consisting of 10 GPs for 2025!

Overview of the DRS Nationals 2025 championship:

FRIDAY:
Opportunity* to drive the DRS karts at the respective kart track during the special training heats.

Prices, times and availability may vary per track, below are indications:
Heats: 6 or more
Heat length: 15 minutes
Heat price: €20.-

SATURDAY:
Sprint races for FUN Light, FUN Heavy, PRO Heavy.
3H Endurance race for Saturday-Heavy and Saturday-Light teams.

SUNDAY:
Kart Schools morning
Sprint races for JUNIOR, Master and PRO Light
2H Endurance race for Sunday-Heavy, Sunday-Light teams.

Price per GP: €147.50 or €157.50 depending on the track

Price per GP: €345.- or €365.- depending on the track
